Go Ahead and Do it Now!

Today we’re talking about Go Ahead and Do It Now!

I was in a class a few weeks ago and a question came up. The instructor asked, “When your business is successful, what are you no longer going to do?”

Some of the answers were I’m no longer going to clean my house–I’ll hire someone, I’ll no longer do my own administrative work, I’ll no longer worry about how to get clients, I’m going to stop stressing about finances, and so on.

Now, I’m going to pose a similar question to you.  As you get closer to God and become more obedient to walk out your assignment. What will you stop doing?

Will you stop worrying?

Stop complaining?

Stop crying?

Stop asking, “When will this part be over, God?”

There will be some things we have to STOP DOING, START DOING AND CONTINUE DOING.

Eventually, David had to let go of those sheep go to the palace. (1 Samuel 17:15)

Eventually, Gideon had to get out of that wine press to get rid of the Midianites. (Judges 6:11)

Eventually, Esther had to go into the king to help save her people. (Esther 5:1)

Peter & John had to keep proclaiming the Gospel. (Acts 4:17-19)

So, what will you stop doing, start doing, and continue doing?

STOP Luke 12:25-31 NIV

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

“Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.  If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith! And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

START Colossians 3:23-24 ESV

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

CONTINUE Galatians 6:9 KJV

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

So, like Paul, let’s I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14 KJV)
